South Africa’s Gustav Basson won both the 12.3km individual time-trial, as well as the 82.km road race of the Tour de Maurice yesterday.
The ProTouch rider completed the ITT in 16:40, beating MCB’s Christopher Lagane by five seconds.
Basson won the road race in 1:50:12, beating UV-AUBE-CC-Charlott’s Clement Maertens and Mad Macs’ Gregory de Vink in the final sprint.

The South African now holds a 41-second lead over Lagane on the general classification standings.
