Top-quality Westfalia bike rack on offer at Kremetart cycle race

May 22, 2018, 4:01 pm By In the Bunch Staff reporter

One cyclist at the Kremetart road race, which is taking place in Limpopo on June 9, will take home a top-quality Westfalia bike rack in a lucky draw at the prize giving.

A ride that covers 175km for the elite men and a 140km distance for the elite women is sure to be well-contested, especially with the Demacon Ladies team in action.

Cape Town Cycle Tour winner Kim le Court, South African road champion Carla Oberholzer and Lynette Burger, who won the Fast One, will all be in the mix, aiming to continue their domination of the road scene in South Africa this year.

The bonus which looms for entrants is a highly prized Westfalia bike rack – valued at just under R6 000 – which will be given away in a lucky draw at the prize-giving.

The prize has been donated by South African company Positive Sports Solutions, who have negotiated a number of deals to make top-rated cycling equipment from Europe available to local consumers.

Besides the Westfalia bike racks, cyclists in South Africa are able to purchase HEAD bicycles through the company, while the Italian-produced Gipiemme wheels will be available in the second half of the year.

Positive Sports Solutions salesman Jaco Smit said the giveaway, valued at R5 999, would be open to all competitors, who will have a chance to put their numbers in a box after the race.

“We will be present at the event and will do the draw, along with emcee Johnny Koen, at the potjiekos and prize-giving.”

He added that Positive Sports Solutions would have a gazebo at the race with a display of their products.

“We are aiming to create awareness of what we offer and the Westfalia bike rack giveaway is not just about promoting the quality of the product, but also its value [R5 999], which includes VAT and delivery in SA.”
